 It`s been awhile since i herad the name Donny Hathaway,
More so it been a good while since i heard a song from the
man,
Donny Hathaway ,was &still is among the best that`s done
it we must remember the good time`s with the bad and then
move on! here one from the good time`s
Donny Hathawy`s The Ghetto,Donny was born october 1, 1945 in Chicago, He was raised by his
grandmother, Martha Pitts, also was known as Martha Crumwell,
Donny his grandmother lived in the Carr Square Housing  Projects in St, Louis, Donny began singing
in a church chior with his grandmother,
Donny graduated from Vashon High School in 1963,He then studied music on a fine arts scholarship
at Howard University in Washington, D, C, where he was classmate and close friends with  Roberta Flack and a member as well of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.
Donny also formed a jazz trio to work around the local area with drummer Ric Powell ,
In 1967 Donny left Howard without a degree ,after receiving job offers in the music business,
Hathaway also worked as a songwriter, session musician and producer, Working first at Chicago`s Twinight
records, later he did arrangements for,The Unifics, ( Court of Love ),and ( The Beginning of my End ),
Donny also worked with  The Staple Singers, Jerry Butler, Aretha Franklyn, The Impression and Curtis Mayfield, Donny was married to a lady whom he met during his years at Howard University ( Eulaulah )
they had two daughters, Eulaulah Donyll, (Lalah Hathaway ),and ( Kenya ), Lalah has enjoyed a successful
solo career, While Kenya is one of the three backing voclists on the hit  TV program American Idol,
Donny Hathaway died at the age of  (33 ), on January 13 ,1979 in  New York City at the Essex House
