One of the most controversial statement i will make to this day
would have to deal with one`s family,
All of us at one time are another have said are thought
about not wanting to be apart of our family for reason`s

It`s often stated that we don`t miss the water until the well run`s dry,
Back in the 70`s the Ohio Player`s said it best for me, I WANT TO BE FREE!!!

another gold disc recipient, LEROY "SUGARFOOT" BONNER ,One of the most outrageously funky
singers and writers in modern music passed away at age 69
He will be missed but not forgotten as his legacy and music lives on, The band formed in Dayton, Ohio in 1959 as the Ohio Untouchables ,initially included members , Robert Ward, Marshall Rock Jones, Clarence Satch Satchell, Cornelius Johnson and Ralph Pee Wee Middlebrooks,
The band at the time was best known as the backing group for the Detroit Falcons
 It`s been awhile since i herad the name Donny Hathaway,
More so it been a good while since i heard a song from the
man,
Donny Hathaway ,was &still is among the best that`s done
it we must remember the good time`s with the bad and then

Donny Hathawy`s The Ghetto,Donny was born october 1, 1945 in Chicago, He was raised by his
grandmother, Martha Pitts, also was known as Martha Crumwell,
Donny his grandmother lived in the Carr Square Housing  Projects in St, Louis, Donny began singing
in a church chior with his grandmother,
Donny graduated from Vashon High School in 1963,He then studied music on a fine arts scholarship
at Howard University in Washington, D, C, where he was classmate and close friends with  Roberta Flack and a member as well of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity.
Donny also formed a jazz trio to work around the local area with drummer Ric Powell ,
In 1967 Donny left Howard without a degree ,after receiving job offers in the music business,
Hathaway also worked as a songwriter, session musician and producer, Working first at Chicago`s Twinight
records, later he did arrangements for,The Unifics, ( Court of Love ),and ( The Beginning of my End ),
Donny also worked with  The Staple Singers, Jerry Butler, Aretha Franklyn, The Impression and Curtis Mayfield, Donny was married to a lady whom he met during his years at Howard University ( Eulaulah )
they had two daughters, Eulaulah Donyll, (Lalah Hathaway ),and ( Kenya ), Lalah has enjoyed a successful
solo career, While Kenya is one of the three backing voclists on the hit  TV program American Idol,
Donny Hathaway died at the age of  (33 ), on January 13 ,1979 in  New York City at the Essex House

This blog is about good music such as ,Isaac Hayes, (I stand Accused), Donny Hathaway ( The Ghetto),
Ohio Players ( Heaven must be like this ),
Music that most of us my age (63 ), and older don`t get to hear anymore ,
I`m going to do my best to bring back some of those old songs so that you can
come to my blog and just listen as you please, and enjoy the momeoies of the
house partys,the block partys,back yard cookout`s

the best music of the 70`s, 80`s, & 90`s Isaac, was born in rural poverty on august 20, 1942
in covington, Tennessee, about thirty miles south of Memphis.
Isaac and his sister willette were raised by their maternal grandparents, Willie and Rushia Addiemae
Wade,Isaac grandparents instilled a love for the simple pleasures of country life,
Isaac, mention that they raised most of their food such as ,cattle, pig`s,
They ground corn at the grist mill and made molasses at the sorghum mill, a sack of flour would
last several mouths,
For Isaac, Memphis was supposed to represent new opportunity,
As a 7-year old he saw his first supermarket and enjoyed his first popsicle,
Isaac, grandfather health failed after finding work in a tomato factory he became disabled
when Isaac, was 11, his grandfather died,
That`s when the family really fell on hard times, To make ends meet Isaac started  doing agricultural
work like picking cotton,Ironically his stately home in east Memphis looks out over those same fields
where cotton grew for nearly two centuries,As a youngster he would run errands, cut lawns, deliver
groceries and wood , Cleaned bricks for two cents apiece, and even shined shoes on Beale street
to help make ends meet, Isaac finally graduated at age 21 from high school class of 1962,
By this time Isaac had won seven college scholarships for vocal music which he chose not to pursue,
Instead, he became adept enough at the piano to land a job with baritone saxophnist bandlearder
Stax sessions and tracks than any other musician,
Isaac Lee Hayes Jr. was an american songwriter musician, singer, actor,and voice actor. Isaac,
was one of the creative influences behind the southern soul music label stax records,
Isaac, albums include Hot Buttered soul, Shaft, Black Moses, To be Continued
Isaac, children are, Isaac Hayes lll, Heather Hayes, Veronica Hayes,
Isaac, wife`s, Ruth Watson,1966-1971, Mignon Harly, 1973-1986, Adjowa Hayes, 2005-2008,
Mr, Hayes past away on August 10, 2008 at the age of 65,
